Prevent and radicalisation

Prevent - Safeguarding People from being Drawn into Terrorism

Prevent is a safeguarding mechanism to support children, young people or adults who may be susceptible to becoming involved in terrorism or supporting terrorism. The main objectives of Prevent are to tackle the ideological causes of terrorism and intervene early to support people susceptible to radicalisation. It deals with all kinds of terrorism or groups that encourage violence to influence governments, intimidate the public and advance their cause.
