Rotherham Safeguarding Executive Group

The Executive group is responsible for driving forward the strategic priorities of RSAB.

Safeguarding Adult Reviews (SAR)

The purpose of the SAR sub-group relates to Section 44 of the Care Act 2014 requires local safeguarding adult boards to arrange a SAR when an adult in its area dies because of abuse or neglect.

Workforce Development

The purpose of the workforce development  sub-group is to ensure that relevant partners provide training for staff and volunteers on the policy, procedures and professional practices that are in place locally.

Performance and Quality

The purpose of the performance and quality sub-group is to oversee the development of a quarterly safeguarding adults performance report including all partner agencies working to safeguard adults at risk from abuse and neglect.

Policy and Practice

The purpose of the policy and practice sub-group is to ascertain and agree the required multi-agency policies and procedures in Rotherham legislation.

Voice

The customer voice is consistently reflected across all safeguarding sub-groups; a strategic and inclusive approach is adopted. The sub-groups capture representation and participation, feedback, regular consultation, training and awareness, communication channels and monitoring and reviewing. By implementing these strategies, the safeguarding sub-groups can ensure that the customer voice is not only heard but actively shapes safeguarding practices and policies.
